Available Positions

SIDBI is hiring for two main positions:

  • Assistant Manager (Grade A)
  • Manager (Grade B)

Assistant Manager (Grade A)

  • Total openings: 50

Manager (Grade B)

  • Total openings: 26
  • Some of these jobs are for IT (Information Technology).

Who Can Apply?

Age Limits

  • Assistant Manager (Grade A): 21 to 30 years old
  • Manager (Grade B): 25 to 33 years old
  • Age relaxation is available for some groups, as per government rules.

Education Needed

Assistant Manager (Grade A):

  • A degree in Commerce, Economics, or Mathematics with at least 60% marks,
    OR
  • A degree in these fields and a Company Secretary qualification,
    AND
  • Two years of work experience.

Manager (Grade B):

  • A degree in any subject, or a technical/professional degree with at least 60% marks (55% for some groups),
    AND
  • Five years of experience working as an officer in a bank or financial organization.

Manager (Grade B) – IT:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Technology, IT, Electronics, or Electronics and Communication with at least 60% marks (50% for some groups),
    OR
  • A Master’s degree in Computer Applications (MCA),
    AND
  • Five years of experience as an IT System Officer.

How to Get Selected

The selection process has three steps:

  1. Written Exam (Phase 1)
  2. Written Exam (Phase 2)
  3. Interview

Phase 1 Exam

This exam has several sections:

  • English
  • Reasoning
  • Math
  • Computer Knowledge
  • General Knowledge (especially banking topics)
  • Policies for Small Businesses (MSME)
  • Specific Test for Your Field
  • There will be 200 questions in total.
  • You will have 120 minutes to finish the exam.
  • The exam will be in Hindi and English.

IT Specific Test

For IT applicants, the “Specific Test” will include:

  • IT knowledge
  • Coding and databases
  • Networking and Security
  • Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML)
  • System Design

Note: You must pass English, Reasoning, Math, and Computer Knowledge sections. The final score is mainly based on General Knowledge and Policy sections.

Phase 2 Exam

If you pass Phase 1, you can attend Phase 2.

IT Positions Phase 2

  • Paper 1: English essay writing (75 minutes, 75 marks).
  • Paper 2: Technical questions (C++, Data Structures, Networks, Databases, AI, ML).
    • Multiple-choice questions (75 marks)
    • Essay-type questions (50 marks)

If you pass Phase 2, you will be called for an interview.

Negative Marking

There is negative marking in multiple-choice questions. For every wrong answer, 1/4 of the marks will be cut.
