Great news for aspiring teachers! West Bengal will soon recruit TGT and PGT teachers. The best part? Candidates from other states can apply too. In this blog post, we’ll share all key details—important dates, eligibility, and how to apply.
Recruitment Announcement
The West Bengal Central School Service Commission (WBSSC) has released a notification for recruiting teachers for classes 9–10 and 11–12. The notification is available on the official WBSSC website. This recruitment is a major step for West Bengal’s education sector. Earlier, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee announced new teacher recruitments. This drive will also re-employ teachers who lost their jobs previously.
Relief for Jobless Teachers
Mamata Banerjee stated that teachers who lost jobs will get age relaxation. This means they can apply even if they’ve crossed the usual age limit. They’ll also get credit for their past experience. Earlier, around 25,753 teaching and non-teaching staff lost jobs due to a Supreme Court ruling. Now, they’ll get a fresh chance.
